2024 December early pension payment

The CPP and OAS/GIS payments for December 2024 will be issued early on December 20th, 2024. Pensioners should expect to receive their payments within 2 business days if using direct deposit. If the pensioner plans to receive a mail-in cheque, there will be a potential delay in the delivery of the cheque due to the higher delivery volume Canada Post has to handle during holiday season.

If you do not have a direct deposit setup, you will have to call the pension call centre before December 17th, 2020. Unfortunately, due to security reasons, pensioners may no longer be able to add/change direct deposit information through Canada.ca’s My Service Canada Account.
