CPP/OAS Voluntary tax deduction
If you would like to request Service Canada pension office to withhold a percentage or fixed amount of your CPP or OAS benefits for tax deductions, you may either:
- Complete and mail the Request for Voluntary Federal Income Tax Deductions form (ISP-3520). Click here to download.
- Call the pension call centre at 1-800-277-9914 to speak with a call centre agent to set up right away.
Once the voluntary tax deduction is set, the amount will be withheld as of the next month’s payment.
If you would like to change the voluntary tax deduction amount, you may also call the pension call centre to adjust the amount. The new deduction will be in effect as of your next month’s payment.

The quickest way is to call the pension call centre to ask them to resend a new copy to you. While on the phone, the call centre agent can give you the T4 slip box number so you can file your tax asap.

July 5, 2024 1:37 pmHow do I get some money back on both mine and my husbands CPP and OAS. I asked them to take too much off monthly and need to change it from 783 to 400 per month total for both of us. I believe that would mean 200 for me and 200 for my husband. Thank you. Linda
